Early intervention therapy and stimulation programmes to children with all kinds of developmental disorders help them to attain all the delayed developmental milestones and in turn help them to attend a normal school at the earliest as part of “inclusion” and subsequently help them to lead a life of dignity in the future. Early Intervention helps the parents to understand the problems of their children so that it helps them to modify their plans according to the development of their children. To a certain extent, the programme empowers the parents of such children also.
This project, to start with, will focus in Ernakulam and neighboring districts so that extending the support would be much more practical in comparison to far off organizations. ACT has identified a funding organization to get the project implemented at the earliest.
